Pre-Requisites

 

The Retail Loss Prevention Agent certification course requires that licensing for your state of employment for security, or security guard in some states.

You must not have been convicted of any crime involving deceit, theft, or possession of burglar tools.

History
The Retail Loss Prevention Agent course is designed to assist agent in the apprehension and prevention of retail theft. Within this course you will learn the legalities and pitfalls involved with making an apprehension and how to make an apprehension of a shoplifter legally. You will learn the basic duties of a Loss Prevention Agent, such as how to deal with slips and falls (accident reporting), identifying scams at the register and return desk. This course will include practical experiences and classroom study.

This course is instructed by an experienced retail loss prevention professional with experience in training well over two hundred loss prevention agents and who has made literally thousands of apprehensions personally.
